Among Asian countries that reached to the round of 16 at the Qatar World Cup, only South Korea replaced the coach. Following Japan, Australia will also prepare for the 2026 North-Central America World Cup under the existing coach system.

The Australian Football Association said on its official website on the 30th, "We renewed our contract with coach Graham Arnold. The contract period is until the 2026 North-Central America World Cup," he announced.

Arnold led Australia and made it to the round of 16 at the World Cup for the first time in 16 years. He was placed in the same group with difficult opponents such as France, Denmark, and Tunisia, but advanced to the round of 16 as second place in the group after France. In the round of 16, he played well by meeting the winning team Argentina and losing 1-2.

In the end, South Korea was the only Asian country that reached the round of 16 at the Qatar World Cup to replace its coach.

Earlier, Japan signed a four-year contract with coach Hajime Moriyasu late last month until the World Cup in North Korea and Central America. For the first time in Japan's history, he decided to serve a second term as the national team coach.

On the other hand, South Korea, along with former head coach Paulo Bento, advanced to the round of 16 at the away World Cup for the first time in 12 years, but ended the contract without reaching an agreement during the contract period. Currently, South Korea is looking for a new coach.
