아제르바이잔, 유엔 법원에서 아르메니아의 인종 청소에 대해 비난

아제르바이잔 외무부 차관은 지난해 말 분쟁지역에서의 휴전으로 6주간의 전쟁을 종식시킨 후에도 아르메니아가 ‘민족 청소’를 하고 계속해서 나고르노카라바흐에 지뢰를 매설하고 있다고 비난했다. 현재 분쟁과 관련된 두 번째 소송이 유엔 최고 법원에서 열리고 있으며 아르메니아는 이러한 혐의를 부인했다.

지난주 법원에서는 6,600명 이상의 사망자를 낸 작년의 전쟁과 관련하여 아르메니아가 아제르바이잔에 대해 제기한 고소장에 대한 공판이 열리기도 했다. 

At UN court, Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of ethnic cleansing

Azerbaijan’s deputy foreign minister accused Armenia of “ethnic cleansing” and continuing to lay landmines in Nagorno-Karabakh even after a cease-fire ended a six-week war in the disputed region late last year, as a second case related to the conflict opened at the United Nations’ top court. Armenia denied the accusations.

Last week, the court held hearings into a complaint brought by Armenia against Azerbaijan, also related to last year’s war that left more than 6,600 people dead.
